Looking to find books about jewellery from collecting to history, from designing to artists, from Art Deco to Arts and Crafts, have a look at the Cladonia Resources Jewellery bookstore. The Jewellery bookstore is powered by Amazon.co.uk.
Publications including examples of Dorrie's work
It is only by looking at the full range of Dorrie's jewellery that we can begin to appreciate the range of ideas and fascinating insights she brought to her designs there are the classic flower based designs with multi-gem set brooches and foliate leaves and scrolls but it is only through looking regularly at auction sites and the few photographs we have in the family that you can see her designs were far more than the accepted Arts & Crafts style. I hope with continuing to research I can find more interesting aspects to Dorrie's designs and reveal to a wider audience an artist who has in many ways, through misattribution of her work, become neglected critically compared to the interest her jewellery raises at auctions in England and the United States.
