The aim of these pages is to show the breadth of Dorrie Nossiter's work from examples belonging to the family, photographs that Dorrie had taken, journals and magazines publishing examples of her work during her lifetime, auction houses, private collections, museums, books and those for sale in specialist jewellery shops. The aim over the period of time I have been working on this has been to collect as many examples of pieces created by Dorrie as possible and as in the section on misattribution try to correct, with the help of Jeanne Dorrie's niece, any mistakes in recognition. I recognise that this is difficult as Dorrie did not tend to sign her work however along with other arts and crafts jewellers and designers there are certain characteristics that clearly differentiate her work from others of the period, especially from the work of Sybil Dunlop.
